Manila sets up discipline zone

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Geary Barias designated yesterday the stretch of Tayuman street, from Guevarra street in Sta. Cruz to Juan Luna street in Binondo, as Manila’s discipline zone.

Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and Manila Police District (MPD) director Chief Superintendent Roberto Rosales witnessed the launch of the discipline zone, an area where authorities will crack down on drunks, beggars, gamblers, litterbugs, illegal vendors, jaywalkers, vandals, people involved in running illegal public utility vehicle terminals and those who violate city ordinances.         – Nestor Etolle
