Fire destroys P10-M property in Taguig

An estimated P10 million worth of office furniture and other property were destroyed when a fire hit an industrial building in Taguig City early yesterday.

Arson investigator Fire Officer 3 Reynaldo Valler said the fire started around 2:48 a.m. in the New Wealth Corp. building at the corner of Mangosteen and Bagsakan Roads in Barangay Western Bicutan.

Lawyer Ricardo Chuy is said to be the owner of the building, which serves as a warehouse of office furniture.

Firefighters needed 13 firetrucks to put out the fire at around 7:05 a.m. No one was reported hurt in the incident.

Valler said they are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the cause of the fire. – Rhodina Villanueva
