The former girlfriend of comedian Vhong Navarro fell victim to members of the “Laglag Barya” gang in Makati City early morning yesterday.
Police Officer 3 Romeo Peñaflor said Bianca Lapuz, who is Lalaine Lapuz in real life, a resident of Tandang Sora, Quezon City, lost her Nokia N80 to three men and a woman at around 2 a.m.
Lapuz, who used to appear in movies and television shows in the early ‘90s, reported to the city police station that she was inside Station 168 – an Internet hub along Makati Avenue in Barangay Bel-Air – when a man called her attention and said she dropped her money on the floor.
Lapuz, who had a son with Navarro, said she was typing a contract inside the Internet shop.
She reportedly picked up the money, four P20 bills and a P50 bill. She said she noticed that her cell phone worth P22,000 was missing when she checked on it as she was about to leave the establishment.
Lapuz alleged that the four suspects took her cellphone.
Makati Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division chief Thomas Chu said footage taken by the shop’s closed-circuit television camera proves Lapuz’s statement. The police said investigation of the incident is ongoing. – Rhodina Villanueva
