Muntinlupa cops say ‘kidnap van’ story a hoax

-

The Muntinlupa police yesterday allayed fears of parents about an alleged van whose occupants go around the city to kidnap children who are later killed and their internal organs taken.

Muntinlupa police chief, Superintendent Alfredo Valdez branded the text messages about the “kidnap van” as just hoaxes.

Since the text message concerning the alleged “organ harvesters” went around, several parents have been disturbed.

One text message said a new victim was killed in Greenheights Subdivision in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa and that the van is still going around abducting children.

A text message that reportedly came from an official of Taysan, Batangas said the van had license plate VMM-507.

The Muntinlupa police verified this and found out that the incident never happened.

Valdez said he has inquired about alleged abductions that supposedly happened in Laguna and Batangas and found that these were all untrue.

He has been visiting different schools in the city to explain to school authorities that the text messages are false. – Rhodina Villanueva
