Muntinlupa City residents can watch the boxing rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez on widescreen for free, city officials said.
Mayor Aldrin San Pedro said the Muntinlupa City government and Solar Sports, which will broadcast the Pacquiao-Marquez bout dubbed “Unfinished Business,” have signed an agreement to allow the live airing of the boxing match in two venues in Muntinlupa: the Muntinlupa Sports Complex, which can seat thousands of people, and Cupang Elementary School.
He said viewers can watch the bout in large screens measuring 20 by 40 feet.
“We want residents to fully enjoy watching Pacquiao’s boxing match in Las Vegas on March 16, even through the use of the city’s facilities. That is why we have made arrangements to air the event in Muntinlupa,” San Pedro said adding that Pacquiao is a world-class boxer who has given prestige to the Philippines. – Rhodina Villanueva
