Caloocan City Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri has reported that the initial mega job fair conducted in line with the city’s 46th founding anniversary was a success.

According to Echiverri, no less than 3,000 residents were given gainful employment in the first job fair conducted in front of the main city hall building.

Echiverri urged unemployed residents to participate in the second mega job fair that will be held on Feb. 19 at the Caloocan City Hall North on Zapote Road.

Residents thanked Echiverri for the employment opportunity more especially on the occasion of Caloocan’s cityhood anniversary.

Echiverri said it is his administration’s goal to create more meaningful jobs for the residents in order to improve their standard of living.

He said the local government is extending its full support to investors and businessmen to encourage more investments and business opportunities that result in more job opportunities.

Labor and Industrial Relations Office chief Dante Esteban said around 100 companies and businesses participated in the job fair, with seven of them providing job opportunities abroad.
