The Honda CRV’s driver, Achmad Sangcaan, said he was not at fault. He said he avoided a Toyota Innova that tried to overtake his vehicle, and in the process accidentally bumped the motorcycle in front of him.
Sangcaan said an American national and two other people alighted from the Innova and beat him up.
The police had to close the flyover’s southbound lane for more than two hours because of the accident. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the lane was not totally clear until
