Thieves steal 2 cell phones from Internet cafe

-

A 36-year-old businessman lost two cell phones worth P37,000 to a group of van-riding thieves in San Juan just before dawn last Monday.

Alan Gonzales told police that he and his caretaker, Rosalito Manalo, 22, left the Jeremiah Net Café on F. Blumentritt street to have a snack.

Gonzales said they made sure the door of his computer shop was locked since he left his two cell phones there. When they returned to the shop, he said the cell phones were missing.

Gonzales and Manalo told police that they saw a maroon van with license plate UFE-189, with four unidentified male passengers, parked in front of the shop when they returned.

Gonzales said they tried to run after the suspects, who escaped.     Jose Rodel Clapano
