Estrada to lead medical mission in Tondo

Former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada is set to lead a medical and dental mission in Tondo on Saturday to show his gratitude to the Manileños who supported him through the years.

Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim said in a statement that the medical and dental mission is a monthly project of Estrada’s wife, former Senator Loi Ejercito.

Lim said the former President’s visit in the Tondo communities will mark the start of his new life as “Citizen Erap”.

“This will be the former president’s first pro-poor activity following his release from detention,” he said.

Lim said it was Estrada who personally called him up to inform him that he would like to start his advocacy for the poor as a private citizen in Tondo, Manila.    – Evelyn Macairan
