Caloocan hospital to continue free services
Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri assured that the President Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Medical Center (PDMMMC) – the city’s primary government hospital – will continue to provide charitable services to indigent residents.
According to Echiverri, from January to August of this year, the PDMMMC has given more than P574,411.50 in free X-ray, pharmacy, laboratory, dental, operation and diabetic clinic services to patients.
He added that the PDMMMC will continue to provide quality health care through its state-of-the-art medical equipment manned by dedicated and competent personnel.
The hospital received numerous awards and accreditations from the Philippine Hospital Association, Philippine Health Insurance Co. and the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians.
Echiverri said residents could avail of free ECG every second and fourth Tuesday of the month; free diabetes screening every Wednesday and Friday; free cholesterol screening every second and fourth Wednesday of the month; ABI foot screening every Wednesday and Friday when needed; free “tule” or circumcision every Friday of April and May; and free cataract and cleft lip and palate operation when available.
