Consultant kidnapped in Parañaque

Police are investigating the alleged abduction of a 34-year-old man working as a consultant for the Philippine-Japanese Human Force Foundation (PJHFF) in Parañaque City at dawn yesterday.

Arsenio Dalestroque, a resident of Multinational Village, was allegedly abducted by two or three still unidentified suspects sometime around 4 a.m.

Senior Inspector Glenn Tigson, who heads the station investigation division of the Parañaque City police, said his men are hunting down the suspects.

He said Dalestroque was at the third floor of the EAGC building on Multinational Avenue when his abductors barged in and beat him up.

Tigson said the suspects managed to enter the premises and surprise Dalestroque while he was engaged in an Internet chat with his employer, Vanessa Kurihara, who is in Japan.

After being alerted to the alleged abduction, policemen went to the scene and found that several items – including a laptop computer and a .45 caliber pistol – were missing.

Tigson said blood was also found on the floor, indicating that Dalestroque was attacked before the suspects took him out of the building and forced him into a still unidentified vehicle.

A source said a white L-300 van was seen going out of the main gate at about the time of the alleged abduction, steered by the driver of the PJHFF chairman.

The foundation, according to another source, is actually an agency that sends Filipinos to Japan to work as entertainers.       – Michael Punongbayan
