Pasay hospital renovated

-

The Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) was recently renovated by the Manila Doctors College in partnership with the Metrobank Foundation under a memorandum of agreement signed by the MDC and the Pasay City government.

Mayor Wenceslao Trinidad said the agreement calls for PCGH to serve as an affiliate hospital of the MDC where no less than 120 nursing students will be on three shifts per day, six days a week to render their services to patients.

“The college provided the initial equipment, furniture and other supplies needed to start serving patients of the hospital which will serve as the venue for the medical services agreed upon by the college and the city government,” he said, adding that around 50 beds were purchased in addition to the beds that are already there.

Trinidad said the agreement with MDC assures the PCGH of additional medical personnel, at no cost to the city government.

The agreement also calls for the college to employ in their name and account adequate security and janitorial services to be assigned exclusively to the PCGH.

Trinidad expressed thanks to MDC president Aniceto Sobrepeña for waiting for his return to City Hall before green-lighting the project.

“MDC has been a benefactor of Pasay City for a long time now, and has helped out in other projects which received ‘Galing Pook Awards’ like the Philhealth Plus, among others. Your confidence has been paid in full. The reward will be reaped by our people,” he said.
