Half-naked woman’s body found

An unidentified young woman whose body bore multiple stab wounds was found at a street corner in Malate, Manila early morning yesterday.

The body was also half-naked, an indication that she could have been sexually abused, according to police investigators.

The woman was described as between 20 and 25 years old, at least five feet, four inches tall and with curly black hair.

The body was discovered by a passing pedicab driver at the corner of Don Pedro and Arellano streets in Malate. No one in the area could identify the woman.

An autopsy is still being conducted to determine whether she had been sexually abused. Police are conducting a follow-up operation in the area to find out who had killed her. – Nestor Etolle
