Police released yesterday the photo of a professional boxer who allegedly killed a 52-year-old woman and her six-year-old grandson in their house in Tondo, Manila.
Manila Police District homicide section commander Chief Inspector Alejandro Yanquiling Jr. personally offered a P5,000 reward to anybody who can give information leading to the arrest of Roy Fuentes, 28, who fights in the flyweight category.
“The reward money may be modest, but it can provide enough finanacial assistance to the needy who has information on the whereabouts of Fuentes,” Yanquiling said.
The Manila police has launched a manhunt against the suspect, but so far the suspect proved elusive, according to Yanquiling.
Fuentes allegedly sent text messages to his victims’ neighbor, Myra Oira, admitting to the crime, Yanquiling said.
Delia Mancio and her grandson Timothy Andrie Solvera were discovered dead in Mancio’s bedroom past 8 p.m. Sunday.
Neighbors confirmed that Mancio and Fuentes, who hails from Cebu, had been lovers for the past six months. They said Fuentes always asked money from his lover. – Nestor Etolle
