Uniwide owner nabbed for beating wife

-

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested last Wednesday an owner of a chain of malls for allegedly maltreating his wife.

Police said Jimmy Gow, one of the owners of the Uniwide Mall, was arrested last Wednesday inside Uniwide mall on Roxas Boulevard in Parañaque City.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Alaminos Regional Trial Court Judge Jules Mejias in connection with the alleged abuses committed by Gow on his wife.

Officers from the CIDG-Women and Children Concerns Division said Gow has been released from police custody after posting a P12,000 bail bond.

Police said Gow married the complainant in the United States several years ago. However, police officers could not provide additional details about the case.   Cecille Suerte Felipe
