Man robs North Cemetery

Police nabbed a jobless man, desperately in need of money to pay for his children’s enrollment and school supplies, after the suspect stole yesterday several steel bars and assorted wires from a storage room at the North Cemetery in Caloocan City and was hauled off to jail.

Ricardo Sisio, 42, resident of Tagaytay St., San Jose, Barangay 127, Caloocan City, was charged for theft at the city prosecutor’s office.

The stolen articles, which included 30 pieces of steel bars, one rolled fence wire and eight meters of electric wire, were recovered.

Police Officer 3 Joel Montebon said the incident occured at around 8 p.m. Thursday inside the cemetery along C-3 Road.

Sisio is now detained at the city police jail. – Jerry Botial
