Borgy faces new raps

The family of the man allegedly beaten by commercial model Borgy Manotoc at The Fort has finally filed charges of serious physical injuries against him before the Taguig City prosecutor’s office.

The mother of Carlo Brown, accompanied by their family lawyer, filed a case against Manotoc yesterday afternoon, a month after her son was hospitalized after sustaining cuts on the head due to the alleged beating.

Brown’s family also filed perjury charges against Marjorie Palabrica, a female security guard at the Embassy Bar, where Manotoc and his companions allegedly attacked Brown. Palabrica reportedly lied in her statement to the police.

Before filing charges against Manotoc, Brown’s family talked with other people who were allegedly victims of the model’s misbehavior, as well as witnesses to the beating incident.

Manotoc, the son of Ilocos Norte Rep. Imee Marcos and sportsman Tommy Manotoc, said he was sorry for what happened to Brown but maintained it was Brown who started the fight by mocking him.

Earlier reports said prior to the beating, Manotoc was irked after seeing Brown talking to his girlfriend, fellow model Ornussa Cadness, inside the bar. – Rhodina Villanueva
