Responding policemen from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested two motorcycle-riding men who had robbed a sales clerk in Quezon City.
Kamuning police station commander Superintendent Dante Narag identified the suspects as Harry Cabros and Jefferson Cuasay, both of Sampaloc, Manila. They were presented before the press yesterday.
Police said the suspects tried to snatch the bag of victim Anilyn Siapno, then blocked her way and took her belongings at knifepoint.
Siapno, however, screamed for help as the suspects sped off. This caught the attention of bystanders, who quickly prevented the suspects from leaving the scene.
