March 29, 2007 | 12:00am
The Muntinlupa City government is implementing a reward system as a form of incentive to its local policemen so that more arrests of drug pushers can be made in the city.
Chito Valerio, head of the city’s Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office who proposed the reward system for city policemen, said this will greatly motivate the law enforcers to send drug pushers and users to jail.
SPO1 Joel Vega, PO1s Mark Sherwin Forastero and Victorino Ciocson were the first recipients of the rewards for their exemplary performance in the arrest and conviction of Robert Sanchez, who was charged for illegal possession of drugs and drug pushing, as well as a certain Antonio Dondon for illegal possession of drugs. – Rhodina Villanueva
