San Juan traffic rerouted for today’s celebrations

In order to avoid traffic jams in all San Juan access roads, motorists were advised yesterday to take alternate routes as the town celebrates its centennial anniversary today.
Superintendent Rodelio Jocson, San Juan police chief said uniformed policemen would be posted in all roads leading to the town proper to guide motorists on what roads to take toward their destination. Jocson said the entire police force would be on red alert to thwart all threats and possibly make arrests of troublemakers. The San Juan police chief advised motorists to strictly follow re-routing plans to prevent heavy traffic and bring inconvenience among the motoring public. He said the whole stretch of N. Domingo and Pinaglabanan Road will be closed to vehicular traffic starting 5:30 a.m. today. Old Sta. Mesa will be closed to vehicular traffic from V. Mapa st. towards San Juan and will be made one way from San Juan towards Manila. – Non Alquitran
