The wife of the Philippines former honorary consul to Costa Rica has filed a civil suit against a former Philippine ambassador to Spain before the Makati City Regional Trial Court over the disposal of her late husbands estate.
Ma. Luisa Olasolo Rocha, Arturo Conchas widow, is trying to stop her stepbrother Juan Rocha, from selling the properties to supposedly pay debts.
The complainant protested the selling of her husbands properties by the respondent, who was named executor of her husbands estate, allegedly to pay off her husbands debts to the family corporation, CF Sharp & Co., headed by Juan Rocha, which he also heads.
She said her stepbrother has refused to show to her documents to prove that her late husband left debts. Rocha wants the court to compel him to show documents to prove his claim.
She added that her stepbrother has a conflict of interest because he is the executor of the estate and the head of the company being paid.
Juan Rocha, in his response to the suit, said Arturo Concha borrowed money from the company for "working capital" but used it for personal purposes instead. Michael Punongbayan
