New Pakistani visa policy

The government of Pakistan has announced a new liberalized visa policy to facilitate genuine visitors and businessmen to the country. The Philippines has been included in the list of countries, which will be accorded priority in the processing of tourist and business visas.

Businessmen from the Philippines can get a visa from the embassy within 24 hours on the production of relevant documents. Filipinos married to Pakistan citizens can apply for multiple entry visas. The procedure for working visa remains the same and involves approval from the Ministery of Interior in Islamabad.

Pakistan is celebrating 2007 as "Visit Pakistan Year" and the new visa policy is expected to facilitate the flow of visitors to Pakistan.
