Actress, former BF swap charges after violent fight

Actress Lara Morena and her former boyfriend filed criminal charges against each other yesterday after the two figured in a violent fight inside Morenas condominium unit in Makati City.
Morena, 32, suffered a fractured left elbow with signs of hematoma, bruises and hematoma on the lower left hip and legs, and a black eye, while Mark Anthony Cruz, 21, sustained bruises on both arms, the neck, and different parts of the body as well as a lacerated upper lip.
Reports from the Makati City police showed that the incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. Morena said she just arrived home and was talking to someone on her cellular phone when Cruz barged in and started shouting at her.
Morena claimed her former boyfriend grabbed her by the hair so she tried to run to her room. However, Cruz allegedly overpowered her, forced the room open, and started beating her.
Morenas maid, identified as Alma Ordinario, alerted security personnel of the condominium.
Both eventually went to the Makati City police to file charges against each other after seeking treatment from two different hospitals.
Morena charged Cruz for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the law on violence against women while the latter claimed attempted homicide.
