Murdered exec’s suitor faces questioning

The Mandaluyong City police will invite for questioning the suitor of an advertising executive who was found dead last week in her apartment condominium.

Police chief Superintendent Ericson Velasquez has sent police investigators to track down and question Arwind Ramos in solving the killing of Donnabel Espana-Tolentino, 35, assistant vice president for media advertisement of MGM Advertising.

"We would like to take his statement which might shed light to the killing of the victim," said Velasquez.

A separated mom, Tolentino was found dead Thursday last week inside her unit at E. G. Lentine Mansion in Barangay Highway Hills.

She was wearing only a shirt and naked from waist down. A pillow case was tied around her neck.

Velasquez said there were injuries in Tolentino’s body but they could have been old wounds.

Velasquez admitted they still don’t have a suspect and they hope Ramos can provide some leads.

He said they have two witnesses but they could not give enough information that could help identify possible suspects.

Tolentino’s relatives and friends have earlier suggested that police investigators question Ramos, an ardent suitor of Tolentino.

Velasquez emphasized that Ramos is not considered a suspect. "We are still in the process of gathering evidence and we strongly believed that Ramos’ statement would be a great help in solving the case."
