Parañaque blaze leaves 40 families homeless

-
Forty families were left homeless after a fire razed 20 houses in Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City yesterday.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Arturo Castro, arson investigator, said the fire started at a house owned by Cesar and Elizabeth Cabaging in Silverio Compound, Purok 1 at around 8:35 a.m.

No one was reported hurt in the incident. Damage to properties was placed at P1 million.

Castro said the blaze, which reached Task Force Alpha, quickly spread to other houses. A fire out was declared at around 10:33 a.m.

Initial investigation showed the fire may have been caused by an unattended stove. The local government immediately made available the school grounds as a temporary relocation site for the displaced families. – Rhodina Villanueva
