Cop, wife killed in Caloocan

A Quezon City policeman and his wife were killed by two still unidentified men last Wednesday night in Caloocan City.

Chief Inspector Jose Valencia, city police investigation branch chief, identified the victims as SPO2 Alfredo Calunzo, 52, assigned at the Quezon City Police District, and his wife Feliza, both of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

Investigation showed the couple was riding tandem on a scooter on their way home at around 6 p.m. Wednesday along the main road in Bagong Silang when the suspects shot them in different parts of the body.

Concerned residents brought the wounded couple to the Nodados General Hospital, but were declared dead on arrival, due to severe loss of blood, at around 6:45 p.m. of the same day.
