Pet Day in Makati

In celebration of World Animal Day, Makati City will sponsor activities that which will give animal lovers the chance to treat their pets to free veterinary services.
Dogs, cats, birds, and other pets will also receive collars and other gifts after anti-rabies vaccinations, deworming, neutering and consultations.
Makati City Veterinary Office (MCVO) will hold a Mass for animals followed by the blessing of pets at the City Hall grounds at 8:30 a.m.
Those without pets may also avail of the city governments adopt a pet program by visiting animals in search of homes at the ground floor of the Department of Public Safety building in Malugay street in Barangay San Antonio.
MCVO veterinarian Dr. Ma. Vivien Manalastas said Makati Citys free veterinary services for animals is open to all though the same would be on a first come, first served basis.
She urged pet owners to take advantage of the project since this would help the city government in its anti-rabies campaign and the promotion of responsible pet ownership. Michael Punongbayan
