QC Building Office receives Civil Service award

-
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has cited the Quezon City’s Building Office as one of its 11 awardees in the National Capital Region.

Katrina Constantino David, CSC chairman, has officially informed Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. of the citation.

Eleven out of the 98 frontline services of 45 national agencies and local government units in the capital were given the CSC award.

Belmonte congratulated City Building officials and city engineering department officer-in-charge Engr. Joselito Cabungcal for the award.

"The award is a big surprise considering that the office used to be the object of complaints," Belmonte said.

In her letter, David told Mayor Belmonte that the assessment was based on the first run of PASADA for the first semester of this year.

Under the program, CSC volunteers visit LGU offices posing as clients to examine the quality of services offered to the public. The volunteers observe the various frontline services offered in local government units in the area of staff professionalism, efficiency of systems and procedures and accessibility to clients.

David said each of the 45 LGU frontline services was audited by different volunteers to ensure the objectivity of the assessment. Perseus Echeminada
