Cybersex den raided in Taguig

Police arrested a couple allegedly engaged in the operation of a cybersex den in Taguig City yesterday.

PO1 Vergelio del Rosario Jr., of the Taguig police intelligence division, identified the suspects as Regie Gonzales, 26, and his live-in partner, Anna Marie Gabato, 23. Both are residents of Manalo street, Calzada-Tipas, Taguig City.

Del Rosario said a team, led by SPO2 Benjamin Payumo and PO2 Nicanor Anico raided the couple’s house past midnight,

Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Maria Paz Reyes-Yson of Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 74, the raiders found a half-naked girl while engaged in an online chat session with a foreigner.

Prior to the operation, the Taguig police received information that the couple has been offering cyber sex using minors. The girls allegedly come to the house in shifts.

Del Rosario said the suspects are paid through ATMs.

Charges of violating the Anti-Child Abuse Act and the Prohibition of Obscene and Indecent Acts in Public are being readied against the couple.

Seized from the couple were two computer units with broadband connection and a web camera. – Rhodina Villanueva
