Acting Pasay Mayor Allan Panaligan said that except for the "Wild River" and the "Kiddie Bumper" rides, all attractions at Star City located within the CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, would be open to the public.
"The inspection team, led by Engr. Edwin Javaluyas, confirmed that all other rides are safe following electrical and mechanical inspections. Immediately after we were given a report, we lifted the suspension order," Panaligan said.
He said that only until a favorable recommendation is made on the two rides involved in incidents will City Hall allow them to operate again.
"There is a need for them to carefully check the rides they are offering the public so that accidents can be avoided," he said.
Last Monday night, a three-year-old girl from Malabon was traumatized after sparks flew and smoke started rising from the bump car she was riding.
Panaligan said that while the young girl was not physically hurt, the local social welfare office has recommended that she undergoes psychological therapy.
The incident occurred a week after a 13-year-old girl fell to her death while on the park’s Wild River boat ride.
The girl reportedly panicked and stood up while the ride was at its peak and tried to get off.
