Water cut-off in Malabon, Caloocan
August 9, 2006 | 12:00am
The Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) had announced that some areas of Caloocan and Malabon will have no water for 22 hours starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, until 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.
The MWSI said the water service interruption is due to repair and maintenance works along Reparo Road near corner Gen. Evangelista in Caloocan City.
There will be no water for 22 hours in Araneta Subdivision, certain areas of Barangay Potrero along Victoneta Avenue and sidestreets and along Bagong Lote Street and sidestreets.
In Caloocan, areas bounded by Reparo Road, North Diversion Road, Service Road, Intan street and De Jesus street in Bagong Barrio will be affected.
Some areas will only experience low water to no pressure, including those bounded by Reparo Road, De Jesus street, Intan street and Gen. Evangelista in Bagong Barrio.
MWSI officials said the works are part of their continuing program to upgrade and improve their service to their customers in these areas.
Affected residents are advised to store water good for the duration of the water service interruption. They may also call MWSI Hotline 1626 or text Maynilad through Smart 7001626 for the water rationing schedule. Jerry Botial
