Three robbers killed in QC

- Perseus Echeminada -
A Quezon City police roving patrol killed three armed men who robbed a LPG refueling station along Visayas Avenue, Barangay Bahay Toro in Quezon City early yesterday morning.

Chief Superintendent Nicasio Radovan, QCPD director, identified the slain suspects as Victor Ramos, Odelon Manzano and Elddrid Caparida, all residents of Pandacan, Manila.

Radovan said police operatives are hunting down two other suspects who eluded the police dragnet.

Initial reports said that five armed men barged into a LPG refilling station owned by CAT Gas at around 5 a.m. and divested the cashier, Eddie Amante, of his collection amounting to more than P6,000.

The suspects fled on board a Kawasaki Barako motorcycle and a taxi cab towards Congressional Avenue, also in Barangay Bahay Toro.

A passing mobile car from the police station manned by PO3 Pablico Obligasyon and PO3 Virgelle Renayte was flagged down by the cashier to report the crime. The roving police patrol pursued the suspects.

Upon reaching the corner of Jupiter St. and Congressional Avenue, the patrol car caught the suspects but instead of yielding they fired at the patrol car, triggering a brief firefight.

Superintendent George Dadulo, station commander, and Sadly Antonio, who responded to the alarm, are conducting follow-up operations against the two other suspects who fled during the shootout.
