Family feud eyed in Quezon City school blast

Police and barangay investigators are looking into a family feud as the cause of a grenade blast that rocked a private school in Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City shortly before dawn yesterday.
The explosion damaged the steel gate of the school and several cars parked nearby. A dog was also killed but no one else was reported injured.
The school is owned by the Canero family.
Marcelo Sta. Rinola, Barangay Holy Spirit record officer, said Domingo Canero reported the incident at about 5:50 a.m.
In his report, the elder Canero was being blamed by his son Roy for the attack.
"Father and son have been exchanging charges before the barangay in the past few days before this incident happened," Sta. Rinola told The STAR.
Sta. Rinola said police scene of the crime operatives are still processing evidence found in the crime scene.
"Apparently the grenade came from inside the school," he said. Perseus Echeminada
