Burgos st. in Makati closed today

-
P. Burgos Street in Makati City will be declared off limits to all types of vehicles for 25 hours starting at 5 a.m. today to give way to a day-long concert and street party which is part of the activities for the celebration of the city‘s 336th founding anniversary.

The street will not be re-opened to traffic until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

The activity is expected to transform the busy thoroughfare into a party place where rows of bars and gimmick spots will be set up in the street.

The event, sponsored by San Miguel Beer, will feature a free concert that will present Philippine pop and retro bands, top-billed by The Dawn.

Entertainment establishments in the vicinity will also put up their own shows. They gave assurances that food and beverages will be sold at popular prices.
