Congresswoman lines up more projects

Quezon City Rep. Nanette Castelo Daza said yesterday more projects are lined up for her constituents in the fourth district as part of her commitment to serve the public.
Already, the lawmaker has provided basic services and infrastructure projects to promote the general welfare, progress and development of her constituents, communities and Quezon City, which has earned for her the full support of barangay leaders.
Records show that from 2001 to 2005, the lawmaker funded road projects amounting P153 million, P48 million of which was used for road improvements last year.
Under her term, a total of P95 million was used to finance multi-purpose buildings while P21 million was allocated for school buildings.
For water system, Daza allocated P15 million and P31 million for flood control.
The former barangay captain and Quezon City councilor also financed medical and financial assistance to over 20,000 indigent patients confined in government hospitals including specialty hospital with total allocations amounting to P14 million.
In education, the congresswoman funded the completion and construction of 81 classrooms and seven school auditoriums amounting to P5 million. Another P5 million was used for livelihood training involving 5,000 participants from her constituents.
Over 98 percent of barangay captains and kagawads of District 4 recently signed a resolution of support to Daza for her performance and integrity as a lawmaker.
The local officials rated the performance of Daza as satisfactory, owing to her outstanding effort to diligently attend to the needs of her constituents from her congressional district.
Led by its president Barangay Captain Ed Delfinado, the League of Barangay Captains in District 4 expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the congresswoman as a model of a responsible, hardworking and a committed public servant.
"Despite the multitude demands of her official duty, Congresswoman Daza has shown exemplary fortitude and diligence in serving her constituents even beyond the call of duty," the league said.
