Taguig to honor top citizens, taxpayers

Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga will lead in honoring the citys exemplary citizens who have carved their names in their fields of expertise and the top 20 taxpayers for 2005 as Taguig celebrates its 419th founding anniversary.
The presentation of the Forward Taguig Awards will take place during the Taguig Foundation Ball to be held at the NBC Tent in Fort Bonifacio tomorrow.
This years outstanding citizens in various fields are Wilson Tieng and William Tieng of Solar Entertainment (entrepreneurship); Fe Ochoa, principal of Tenement Elementary School (education); Juanito Banaag, for his Dr. Love radio program over dzMM (journalism); Ivan Acuña, noted painter and photographer (arts); Dr. Israel Cervo (medicine); Paloma Papa, national public relations officer of Soroptimist International Philippine Region (civic service); Isidro Consunji, president of DMCI (business); and Alex Pagulayan, world champion pool player (sports).
Special recognition will be given to Charlene Tieng of Gourdos.
The top 20 taxpayers of the City of Taguig for 2005 are Fort Bonifacio Development Corp., Food Terminal Inc., PSMT Phils. Inc., Metro Pacific Corp., Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co., Heritage Park Memorial, Metro Drug Inc., Bonifacio Vivendi Water Corp., Meridien Development Group Inc., Point Marketing Co. Phils., Ternic Automotive (Phils.) Inc., D.M. Consunji Inc., Daiichi Properties & Development Inc.; Triumph International Phils., Vocativ System Inc., Tetra Pak Phils. Inc. and 19-1 Realty Development.
Model Employees of the Year are Ryan Arthur Borja, contractual, assigned at the Information Technology Office; Jesus Encarnacion, regular, head of the General Services Office; Arvin Monsod; casual, assigned at the Public Information Office.
