The Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center will remain closed until Sunday, April 23, 2006 upon the request of Meralco to install the new transformer which has just arrived.
The whole facility will resume its full operations 6 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2006.
Patients will continue to be accommodated at the other three city-owned hospitals and lying-in centers during this time.
As earlier announced, the hospital should have resumed its operations today, however Meralco has requested for an extension until April 21, 2006 to optimize operations.
The hospitals closed last April 12, 2006 to give way for the rehabilitation and modernization of the main power supply for the benefit of city residents.
