Teener commits suicide

An 18-year-old son of a former police officer was found dead inside his room early yesterday morning in Taguig City.

Police probers said the body of Jaime Orsenado Jr., a nursing student and a resident of Block 94, Lot 18, R. Papa Avenue, Taguig, which bore a gunshot wound in the head, was discovered by family members at around 4:45 a.m.

SPO 1 Conrado Mapili, officer-on-case, said the victim’s brother-in-law identified as Michael Cordova knocked on Orsenado’s room several times but the victim did not answer.

Cordova and other relatives then forcibly opened the door and saw Orsenado’s lifeless body. The latter was lying on his back with a rosary in his hand.

The victim’s girlfriend, Kathlyn Joy Garcia, admitted that she and Orsenado had a misunderstanding but this was immediately settled.

Recovered by the police from the crime scene was a caliber .45 pistol with five live ammunition registered in the name of the victim’s father, Col. Jaime Orsenado. — Rhodina Villanueva
