Service caravan benefits 5,000 Las Piñas residents

-
Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar has lauded President Arroyo’s "Serbisyo Muna" caravan, which recently benefited more than 5,000 city residents in Barangay CAA/BF International.

Residents availed of the medical and dental services, authentication and registration of birth records, issuance of NBI clearance and passports, and skills and livelihood training under the one-stop shop process.

At the same time, one brand new police patrol car was turned over to the Las Piñas police courtesy of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor).

Aguilar said the donation and services offered by the "Serbisyo Muna" caravan are very much appreciated by Las Piñeros.

"We are privileged to be one of the LGUs visited by the Serbisyo Muna of GMA. I assure the people of Las Piñas that we will continuously provide and even expand the delivery of basic services by the city government," the mayor said.

At the same time, the caravan initiated the creation of rolling stores and the Botika ng Bayan, conducted supplemental feeding to children, and distributed assorted vegetable seeds for the clean and green project of the city.

The residents were also given information regarding application procedures with different government agencies such as Philhealth, Land Transportation Office, Meralco and Maynilad, among others.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office also pledged to provide ambulances for the use of the Las Piñas Lying-in Center and the Las Piñas City Disaster Coordinating Council.
