San Juan marks 99th Foundation Day

The municipality of San Juan, under the administration of Mayor Joseph Victor Ejercito, celebrates its "prelude to centenary" as it marks its 99th anniversary of its foundation on March 27.
The celebration will commence with the opening of the Mayors Cup tournament tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the newly-constructed Entertainment and Recreational Arena for the People (ERAP) located behind the San Juan fire and police station buildings along Santolan Road.
This annual basketball and volleyball league is participated in by players from all barangays in San Juan.
On March 27, a mega job fair will be held at the San Juan municipal grounds following the flag-raising ceremony. More than 70 companies will participate in the fair to accommodate San Juan applicants.
A thanksgiving Mass will be held at 6 p.m. at the Tanghalan ng Masa, Plaza ng San Juan which will be celebrated by Fr. Francis Ungria of the St. John the Baptist Parish.
Highlighting this years event will be the free ballroom and dance party after the Mass. Prominent personalities like rock and roll artist Salvador Vaca, EC Jammers, and no less than Asias Queen of Songs Ms. Pilita Corales will serenade San Juaneños.
