CIDG seizes fake products

To minimize, if not totally eliminate the proliferation of counterfeit trademark Bench products in the country especially in Metro Manila, Suyen Corp., the true and lawful owner of the said trademark, has coordinated with the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, which then conducted a thorough surveillance to locate those responsible for the felony.
By virtue of search warrants issued by Executive Judge Antonio Eugenio of the Manila Regional Trial Court, stalls located at shopping center in Baclaran, Pasay City were simultaneously raided by the operatives of the CIDG, headed by Inspector Armie Agbuya.
Consequently, bulk packages of fake Bench underwear and packaging materials bearing the Bench trademark were seized from a storage area owned by a certain Benito Sy.
During the said raid, Sy was not around, but will still be charged before the court for violation of Republic Act 8293, otherwise known as the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.
