Seal of approval for Pque products

Products manufactured in Parañaque can now be distinguished from those made in other cities after the city government bared its plan of having goods stamped with a seal of approval.
Nelson Lacambra, spokesperson of Parañaque Mayor Florencio Bernabe, said that in April, the city government would be staging a trade fair where these products bearing the citys seal of approval would be showcased.
"These items which include toothpaste, canned goods, beverages and even native products, will bear a seal proving that it is a quality product from Parañaque City," Lacambra said.
He said the program dubbed "Tatak Parañaque, Gawang Parañaque," is a program that aims to encourage city residents to patronize city-made products and Parañaque city-based establishments.
"This would ensure that consumers get quality products and services here," Lacambra said.
Product patronage will result in improved sales performance and the increase in sales will prompt companies to maintain high inventories, he pointed out.
"As product demand rises, corporate administration will opt to increase production levels, necessitating overtime work and expanded operations," he said. "Employees will get premium pay for extra work and previously unemployed persons can get jobs following the opening of vacancies in Parañaque-based companies."
