PAF receives medical supplies

-
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) received yesterday US$225,000 worth of assorted medical supplies and equipment from a US non-government organization.

The equipment and supplies are expected to be used when the Air Force is tapped to provide air transport services for relief operations in times of calamities.

The PAF formally received the donations from Knightsbridge International during a simple handover ceremony at PAF headquarters at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City yesterday.

The ceremony was attended by Air Force commanding general Lt. Gen. Jose Reyes and Knightsbridge International chairman Sir Edward Artis.

Col. Normando Santa Ana, PAF General Hospital (PAFGH) director, will be responsible for the distribution of the supplies to the different PAF units.

The donation consisted of 63 boxes of medical supplies, 50 bags of hospital linen, 25 pairs of crutches, 14 units of walkers, 12 units of over-bed table, two units of OB Gyne tables, a scal and stand, a metal disk, an examination table, a gurney and a clinic table.

More medical equipment and supplies are set to be issued to the Air Force through the PAFGH. — Rainier Allan Ronda
