Caloocan employees receive extra cash gift

As a reward for excellent performance of their duties this year, Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri yesterday ordered the granting of additional cash gifts for the holidays to all regular employees of City Hall.
"This little gesture is in recognition of and in gratitude for the employees contribution in increasing the citys revenue collection and in implementing the reforms we have initiated during the year," Echiverri said.
In a memorandum to all department heads, Echiverri directed all offices involved to prepare all the necessary documents for the immediate release of P5,000 for each regular employee.
The mayor justified the release of the funds, citing Local Budget Memorandum 2005-48 of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
The additional gift follows the 13th month bonus and cash gift already distributed to all employees in November this year. Jerry Botial
