Fire razes shops in Parañaque

Despite the rains, fire razed a two-story building housing several residential units and commercial establishments on Kabihasnan Road near Quirino Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Teodorico Gatchalian said the fire started from Julies Bakeshop at 6:59 a.m. The fire, which reached Task Force Echo, spread quickly and razed adjoining establishments.
Other establishments damaged in the fire were a boutique, a hardware store, a drugstore and a mini-grocery.
Initial reports from the Parañaque Fire Station said the cause of the fire was faulty electrical wiring at the bakeshop.
