Wilfredo Bonifacio, a descendant of the hero, joins Echiverri and Pimentel in raising the national flag after which the offering of floral wreaths and a 21-gun salute follows.
Vice Mayor Tito Varela, the city councilors, Northern Police District director Chief Superintendent Raul Gonzales, city police chief Senior Superintendent Leo Garra and Chief Inspector Juan Reyes of the local Bureau of fire Protection (BFP) will assist in the flag-raising rites.
A parade of floats prepared by the Knights of Columbus (one each for the Andres Bonifacio Assembly and the Fr. George Willman Assembly), the University of Caloocan City (UCC), the Rotary Club International (RCI) and the Association of Technical Vocational School Administration of Metro Manila (ATVSAMM) highlights the celebration.
The float parade starts at the City Hall grounds, down to 10th Avenue, to Rosal street, left to Biglang-awa street, on to EDSA and left to Monumento Circle.
A separate civic-military parade where city officials, students, residents and members of different organizations will take part, starts at Boni Serrano Avenue corner EDSA and on to the monument.
Meanwhile, a traffic rerouting scheme has been prepared to guide set up for the motorists during the rites that begin at 6 a.m.
Vehicles from Manila to Valenzuela are advised to turn right at 9th Avenue, left at B. Serrano to EDSA, right to Gen. Simon, left to Calle Cuatro then right to MacArthur Highway.
Motorists from Valenzuela to Cubao are advised to follow the counterflow at the Monumento Circle and on to EDSA.
Vehicles from EDSA, Quezon City toward Malabon should turn right to Gen. Simon, left to Calle Cuatro, right to MacArthur Highway, left to Pinagtipunan street, left to Araneta Avenue, right to Caimito Road, right to Samson Road and on to Malabon.
Manila-bound cars from Valenzuela are advised to turn right at Del Monte Avenue, left to Araneta Avenue, then Heroes del 1896, left to 10th Avenue and right to Rizal Avenue Extension (RAE).
Motorists from Malabon to Balintawak must turn right to Mabini street, left to 10th Avenue crossing RAE, left to B. Serrano and right to EDSA.
Passenger jeepneys (PUJs) plying to Malabon-Monumento rout are advised to proceed straight to Samson Road, right to Kalayaan street to the Victory Liner compound then right to RAE, right to 10th Avenue then back to Malabon.
