Fil-Chinese trader robbed inside Internet shop

-
A 26-year-old Filipino-Chinese businessman lost cash, personal belongings, and a luxury car to two unidentified men, who discreetly robbed him inside an Internet shop in Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

SPO 1 Margonio de Castro, of the Quezon City police District-Station 2 in Baler, identified the victim as Jefferson Wang, of Sta. Cruz, Manila.

According to De Castro, the victim and his girlfriend were inside an Internet shop located along Road 1, Barangay Pag-asa at around 12:45 a.m. when the suspects suddenly appeared from behind and at gunpoint asked for his wallet and their cellular phones.

Wang’s wallet contained P25,000 cash, several credit cards and ATM cards, while the cellular phones amounted to around P20,000.

The suspects also grabbed the keys of Wang’s Nissan Patrol car, with license plate XFC-813, before running off.

Police said the suspects used Wang’s vehicle to immediately flee from the scene. — Katherine Adraneda
