Caloocan holds mega job fair

-
Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri, who is celebrating his 51st birthday today, is holding a mega "blow-out" in the form of a job fair for the city’s unemployed at the city hall grounds.

Echiverri said some 5,000 vacant slots for various positions in several participating firms are available at the fair. He added that more job vacancies will be available as interested companies continue to call the fair secretariat expressing their intention to join the fair and hire local residents.

Among the participating firms are Red Ribbon, Abenson, Ace Hardware, Bench, Blooming Handkerchief, Burger Machine, CDO Foodsphere, Inc., Congo Grill, CVC Supermarket, Dunkin’ Donuts, Eve Plaza, Flexo, Isuzu, Hen Lin, Jollibee Foods, Manson Drug, North Park Noodles, Robinson’s, Shoemart, and Western Marketing.

The mayor added that companies that directly hire employees, local employment agencies and overseas placement firms will also be joining the fair.

"The interest shown by these companies shows their confidence in the competence and ability of the city’s working populace. We commend them for giving our local workers the opportunity of providing food on their tables in these difficult times. To those who make it, prove to them that the workers of Caloocan are among the best," said Echiverri.
