Boy drowns in Valenzuela resort

A 13-year-old boy drowned in a resort in Valenzuela Cityon Saturday afternoon.
Bryan Mangilit, a student, and a resident of Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City, was declared dead on arrival at the Valenzuela General Hospital at around 5 p.m., police said.
The victim reportedly went swimming at the Santiago Resort in Valenzuela City with several friends, one of whom was identified only as Elmer.
According to Elmer, Mangilit dove into the deeper portion of the swimming pool and failed to surface. Pete Laude
