Seven men with proclivity to side-mirrors, tail lights, and headlights, and three men known to rob houses, were arrested by elements of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and barangay watchmen over the weekend for various crimes.
In a report to QCPD Director Nicasio Radovan, suspects Rogelio Manalo, 35; Dominador Dela Cruz, 35; and Ronaldo Caniete, 27; were arrested by authorities for stealing items from an unattended house owned by a certain Doris Lois Rafareal in Novaliches, Quezon City.
The three men were nabbed by the police before dawn on Sunday.
Radovan said the three suspects have barged into the house several times since Sept. 22 and managed to steal a total of about P100, 000 worth of valuables.
The three stole two television sets, two personal computer sets, one attaché case full of documents, vacuum cleaners, bath towels and casseroles. Police said a still undetermined amount of cash and jewelry were also reportedly stolen by the group.
Subsequent physical inspection on the three suspects yielded two fan knives and a caliber .45, police said.
Meanwhile, seven alleged members of the notorious "13 Judas" gang were apprehended by operatives of the QCPDs District Intelligence and Investigation Division (DIID) the other day.
Ian Teope, 28; Armando Prago, 27; Jouve Remias, 25; Gilbert Olaer, 18; Carlito Racho, 37; Roger Caritay, 24; and Welly Dequino, 25, were nabbed in Banawe, Quezon City.
The suspects yielded sacks of side mirrors, park lights, tail lights, head lights, and other exterior car parts, which were reportedly being sold to stores in Banawe or other private individuals.
Police also confiscated the groups three motorcycles with license plates PI-3038, TC-5106 and TP-3103.
All 10 suspects would be charged with robbery, grave threats, and illegal possession of firearms.
